The Specialty Recreation SL1430S is the smoke black companion to the SL1430C — a long narrow 14"×30" replacement skylight for shower stalls and bathtubs in larger motorhomes and fifth wheels, in a tint that reduces glare and UV heat gain. Where the clear version (SL1430C) delivers maximum daylight, the smoke black tint is the better choice when the shower or bathroom location catches direct sun and full unfiltered light would be uncomfortable.
Same proven Specialty Recreation construction: approved elastomeric sealant included, no metal flanges, smooth glossed surface. The 17-1/2"×33-1/2" outer flange and 5" bubble height are identical to the clear version — only the tint differs.

The approved elastomeric sealant included with this skylight is specifically compatible with polycarbonate. Do not substitute self-leveling lap sealants (such as Dicor or similar) — these contain chemicals that react with polycarbonate and can cause cracking and failure of the dome.
The Specialty Recreation Inc. product warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials for 1 year from the date of purchase. Warranty does not apply to damage caused by improper installation. The 14"×30" opening is a less common size found primarily over showers and tubs in larger motorhomes. Measure your actual rough opening carefully before ordering.
