Vehicle-specific plug-and-play harness that connects to your Kia or Hyundai's factory taillight wiring, providing a standard 4-way flat trailer connection with a powered converter and no cutting or splicing required.
If your vehicle isn't already equipped with wiring for towing a trailer, the Curt 56184 T-Connector is the ideal solution. This plug-and-play electrical device connects into your vehicle's existing wiring using OEM-compatible connectors at the taillight assembly, eliminating the need for cutting, splicing, or soldering.
Built specifically for select years of the Kia Borrego and Hyundai Santa Fe (including the Sport and XL trims), it's constructed with surface mount technology (SMT) circuitry — this generates less heat, delivers optimal light intensity, and offers more durable performance than standard wiring. It's equipped with a powered converter that draws directly from the battery, reducing strain on your vehicle's factory lighting circuits, and includes a rubber dust cover for long-lasting weather resistance.

Per Curt's published fitment data, this harness fits: 2013, 2015-2018 Hyundai Santa Fe; 2013, 2015-2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport; 2015-2016 Hyundai Santa Fe XL; and 2009-2010 Kia Borrego. Note that the 2014 Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport are not included in this fitment range — those model years may require a different Curt part number. Confirm your exact model year against Curt's application guide or Vehicle Lookup tool at curtmfg.com before ordering.
This harness's powered converter requires a separate power circuit to be run from the vehicle's battery, which adds some installation time compared to a basic non-powered T-connector. Curt recommends applying dielectric grease to all terminals during installation.
