Reach farther, connect faster, and shut off safely. This 24-foot high-pressure propane hose from Suburban Mfg gives you the length to hook a portable grill, buddy heater, camp stove, or other propane appliance to your RV's main propane supply -- without tools and without hunting for a separate shutoff.
The Suburban Mfg 523020 is built for RV owners who want to run propane appliances at a comfortable distance from the rig without dragging out adapters or fumbling with wrenches. At 24 feet, it gives you enough reach to set a camp stove or portable grill well away from the coach while staying connected to the onboard propane system.
One end terminates in a 1/4" male quick connect fitting; the other carries a 1/4" female quick connect fitting. Both mate with standard RV quick connect propane outlets, so connecting or disconnecting an appliance takes seconds. The integrated shutoff valve lets you cut propane flow at the hose without going back to the tank or the coach's main valve.
Long enough to position a grill, heater, or camp stove well away from the RV while staying on the main propane supply.
1/4" male QC on one end, 1/4" female QC on the other -- snap on, snap off, no wrenches needed.
Isolate propane flow at the hose without returning to the tank or the RV's main shutoff.
Designed for the high-pressure side of an RV propane system, before the regulator -- compatible with standard RV quick connect service ports.
Most RVs with a built-in propane system include at least one quick connect service port on the exterior of the coach -- typically near a storage bay or on the bumper rail. These ports deliver high-pressure propane before it reaches the main regulator. The 523020 plugs directly into that port and lets you run a portable appliance rated for high-pressure propane (or an appliance with its own regulator).
Common uses include:
Tapping the RV's main propane supply through a quick connect port means you stop burning through small 1 lb camping cylinders. Your coach tank -- typically 20 to 40 lb or larger -- keeps your portable appliances running all weekend without a swap.
The 523020 uses the 1/4" male-to-female quick connect standard that Suburban, Marshall, and most RV coach manufacturers have used on exterior service ports for decades. If your RV has a factory QC port on the exterior, this hose will almost certainly mate with it directly.
If your appliance uses a different inlet -- such as a POL, ACME, or 1" male flare -- you will need a separate adapter fitting at the appliance end. The hose itself does not include adapters beyond the two QC fittings.
This hose connects to the high-pressure side of the RV propane system (before the coach regulator). Appliances that require low-pressure propane (most stoves, grills rated for standard LP) must have their own built-in regulator or a separate low-pressure regulator installed between the hose and the appliance. High-pressure-rated appliances (some turkey fryers, banjo burners) can connect directly. Check your appliance documentation to confirm its inlet pressure requirement.
At 24 feet, this hose is longer than a typical propane pigtail. When not in use, coil it loosely and store it in a compartment away from heat sources. Inspect the hose and fittings before each use -- look for cracks, abrasion, or any sign of damage to the jacket. The quick connect fittings include internal check valves that stop propane flow when disconnected, but always close the shutoff valve before disconnecting the appliance end.
