Professional-grade 5-chamber agricultural sprayer pump with IP65-sealed motor and ½" FNPT ports. 4.0 GPM at 60 PSI. Compatible with herbicides, fertilizers, and insecticides. Not for potable water. Made in the USA.
The Remco 5500 Series is the professional-grade workhorse of Remco's agricultural and industrial pump lineup, and the 90-5536-1E1-82B-SB is the mid-range 4.0 GPM configuration with ½" FNPT ports — the right choice for sprayer systems that need more output than the entry-level 3.2 GPM model but don't require the maximum 5.3 GPM flow rate. Built for ½" FNPT plumbing lines, it connects directly to threaded fittings without adapters.
Powered by Remco's signature completely sealed 12V DC motor with IP65 ingress protection, this pump is engineered to withstand the harshest field environments — dust, mud, moisture, and the chemical exposure inherent in agricultural spray work. Viton valves and a Santoprene diaphragm provide broad chemical compatibility across the most common herbicides, fertilizers, and insecticides used in commercial spraying operations.
On-demand pressure switch control means the pump runs when flow is open and shuts off automatically when the nozzle or valve closes — ideal for spot sprayers, boom systems, and transfer applications where simple start/stop operation is needed without a bypass return line.
⚠️ Important: This pump is not listed for potable water use and must never be used with gasoline or any petroleum products. For freshwater RV or drinking water applications, see Remco's PowerRV or Rebel pump series.
Mid-range 5500 Series output — more flow than the 3.2 GPM model for moderate agricultural and industrial demand
Threaded female NPT inlet and outlet — direct connection to standard ½" plumbing without Quick Attach adapters
Dust-tight and water-jet resistant — rated for harsh field environments and chemical exposure
Viton valves and Santoprene diaphragm stand up to herbicides, fertilizers, insecticides, and more
The Remco 90-5537-1E1-82B-SB is not listed or approved for potable water use. Do not use this pump in any system where the fluid may be consumed by humans or animals. This pump must NEVER be used with gasoline, diesel, or any petroleum-based products. Use only with water-based agricultural chemicals, liquid fertilizers, and other compatible non-flammable fluids. For potable freshwater applications, see Remco's PowerRV or Rebel pump series.
The 90-5537-1E1-82B-SB is engineered for demanding agricultural, industrial, and chemical fluid delivery: Agricultural & Chemical: • Boom and spot sprayers (herbicides, fertilizers, insecticides) • Liquid fertilizer transfer and application • Soft washing and bleaching operations • Agricultural chemical injection and mixing systems Industrial & Municipal: • Dust suppression systems • Equipment washdown • Road maintenance fluid application • General industrial fluid transfer on ½" NPT plumbing systems • Automotive fluid exchange applications
On-demand setup — pump runs when flow is open, stops when closed. 1. Mount the Pump: Secure to a flat surface on your sprayer frame or tank assembly. The pump can be mounted in any orientation. 2. Connect Plumbing: Thread ½" NPT male fittings (not included) directly into the inlet and outlet ports. Use Teflon tape on all male threads. Tighten firmly — do not over-torque plastic fittings. 3. Electrical Connection: Connect the 14 AWG leads to your 12V DC supply via relay. A relay is strongly recommended — do not switch the full 16A pump load through a small toggle switch. Protect the supply line with a 20 Amp fuse as close to the battery as possible. 4. Prime & Test: Fill the inlet line before starting to assist with initial prime. Run briefly to purge air, then test at operating pressure. Check all fittings for leaks. Note: A 40A relay is recommended for most installations. Contact Remco at 1-800-228-2481 for wiring guidance.

All 5500 Series models share the same 5-chamber diaphragm design, Viton valves, Santoprene diaphragm, IP65-sealed motor, run-dry capability, and Made in USA construction. The first digit in the OEM model number indicates flow (4 = 3.2 GPM, 6 = 4.0 GPM, 7 = 5.3 GPM). The "53" vs "55" prefix indicates ½" FNPT vs ¾" Quick Attach ports. Control type "1" = Demand; "2" = Bypass.
