Required preparatory step for all seams and cracks before applying Dicor Metal Roof Coating
Apply in the correct position the first time. Any attempt to reposition the tape after application will damage the material. Do not stretch during application. Do not butt joints — do not cover large areas by placing tape end-to-end or side-by-side. Must be followed by two coats of Dicor Roof Coating the same day. Only apply cover tape to areas that will be coated that day.
Surface Preparation: 1. Clean the roof with cleaner/primer — surface must be completely free of moisture and contaminants before applying tape 2. Identify all areas with torn or cracked seams that need to be repaired Application: 3. Peel off a few inches of the release liner and carefully position the tape in the correct location before pressing down — repositioning after contact will damage the material 4. Do not stretch the tape during application 5. Apply pressure starting from the center of the tape and working outward toward the edges, removing any air bubbles as you go 6. Check all edges — no tunnels, openings, or fishmouths should remain Coating: 7. Apply two coats of Dicor Metal Roof Coating (RP-MRC-1) over all covered areas the same day
