The Cummins Onan 0155-2449 is an inline exhaust resonator for the KV MicroLite, QG 2500 LP, QG 2800, and QG 2800 EVAP generator series. It installs in the tailpipe run between the generator muffler outlet and the RV sidewall exit, using the existing 1-1/4" O.D. tailpipe system common to these smaller Onan generators.
A resonator works by creating a chamber that cancels specific exhaust sound frequencies through destructive interference â reducing the overall exhaust note without significantly increasing back pressure. Cummins rates this resonator at up to 1 dB(A) noise reduction, which is audible but modest. Results depend on the specific installation geometry. The inlet end is stamped on the part â observe correct orientation during installation.

Installation requires a 1-3/8" pipe clamp (Onan part 034-00005), sold separately. This is the correct clamp for the 1.38" O.D. connection points on this resonator â do not use the 155-1015 (1-1/2" loop clamp) or 155-1256 (1-1/4" clamp), which are sized for different exhaust systems.
The KV MicroLite and QG 2500/2800 exhaust system uses 1-1/4" O.D. tailpipe â the smaller of the two Onan pipe sizes. This resonator's inlet and outlet measure 1.38" O.D. and slide over the 1-1/4" tailpipe ends, secured with clamps. This is not compatible with the larger 1-1/2" O.D. exhaust system used on QG 5500/7000 (HGJAB/HGJAC) and QD Series generators. Confirm your generator model before ordering.
