The Flame King ACR6 is an automatic changeover two-stage propane regulator for RVs with dual propane tanks. Instead of manually switching tanks when the primary runs empty — which typically means discovering the tank is empty mid-cook or mid-shower — the ACR6 automatically switches the supply to the reserve tank the moment the primary empties, with no interruption to gas flow to any appliance.
The front-facing color indicator tells you exactly what's happening at a glance: clear means the active tank has propane; red means the active tank is empty. When the indicator turns red, rotate the lever to switch the active side to the reserve tank (the indicator clears), and remove the empty tank to get it refilled — all without shutting off the gas or interrupting appliance operation. Two 1/4" SAE inverted flare inlets connect to the two tanks via pigtail hoses (sold separately). Factory set at 11" WC with lockout pressure up to 14.9" WC. UL listed. Loctite thread-locker is applied to the adapter connections at the factory for a secure, leak-free pigtail fit.

1. Connect a full tank to each inlet via inverted flare pigtail hoses 2. Set the lever toward the tank you want to use first (primary) — indicator goes clear 3. When the primary tank empties, the indicator turns red and the regulator automatically draws from the reserve tank 4. Rotate the lever to the reserve side — indicator clears. Disconnect and remove the empty tank for refilling 5. Reconnect the refilled tank — it becomes the new reserve Your appliances never lose pressure during the changeover — the switch is seamless.
The ACR6 inlets use 1/4" SAE inverted flare connections. Use only compatible inverted flare pigtail hoses (E12INPT, E15INPT, or E18INPT). Standard NPT pigtails are not recommended and should not be used with this regulator per Flame King's own product guidance. Flame King applies Loctite thread-locker to the adapter connections at the factory — this is intentional and normal. Do not attempt to remove or modify the adapters.
