The Flame King G2R150B-POL is a two-stage horizontal propane regulator designed for connecting directly to 100-lb cylinders and ASME propane tanks that use a POL (Prest-O-Lite) valve. The POL connection is the left-hand threaded fitting used on larger propane tanks — it threads on by turning counter-clockwise and creates a wrench-tight seal without a separate handwheel nut. This inlet style is common on 100-lb cylinders, forklift tanks, and older or larger RV propane systems.
The two-stage design delivers consistent 11" WC output pressure for all standard low-pressure propane appliances — furnaces, water heaters, ranges, and refrigerators — regardless of tank fill level or demand variation. Aluminum and brass construction, compact horizontal form factor, and a top vent hole with rain cover for weather protection. No built-in shut-off valve — close gas at the tank. RV approved.

POL stands for Prest-O-Lite — the older standard propane tank valve connection, used on 100-lb cylinders, forklift tanks, and larger ASME tanks. Key characteristics: • Left-hand thread: Tightens counter-clockwise (opposite of standard threads) — a safety feature to prevent accidental loosening • Wrench-required: No handwheel — requires a wrench to tighten and loosen • Internal valve: The tank valve opens when a mating fitting is threaded in POL connections are most common on larger tanks (100-lb and up) and older RV systems. Newer 20-lb tanks typically use QCC1 (handwheel) connections. If your tank has a brass fitting that requires a wrench and tightens counter-clockwise, it has a POL valve.
The G2R150B-POL is for tanks with POL valves only — the wrench-tighten, left-hand-thread style. It will not connect to modern QCC1 (Type 1) handwheel valves used on standard 20-lb tanks.
