The OEM-spec seal that keeps your Flow-Rite battery watering system caps seated and leak-free. If your caps are seeping, drying out, or showing wear, this is the part you need -- not a new cap assembly.
Flow-Rite battery watering systems are built into thousands of RV house battery banks, golf cart battery packs, forklift batteries, and marine deep-cycle setups. The BD-00525 is the correct replacement gasket for both the Bayonet-style and M30 threaded vent caps produced by Flow-Rite from 2006 through the current production run.
Over time, the rubber or elastomer sealing gasket inside a battery vent cap can harden, crack, or compress permanently -- especially in the high-temperature environment of an engine bay or battery compartment. A degraded gasket allows acid vapor to escape past the cap, accelerating corrosion on nearby terminals and reducing the effectiveness of your watering system's pressure regulation. Replacing the gasket restores a proper seal without the cost of replacing the entire cap.
Designed to spec for Flow-Rite Bayonet and M30 cap assemblies -- drops in without trimming or modification.
Covers the current generation of Flow-Rite caps produced from 2006 onward.
Gasket material is formulated to resist sulfuric acid vapor typical of flooded lead-acid battery environments.
Extend the life of your existing cap assemblies with a low-cost seal replacement instead of full cap replacement.
Flow-Rite manufactures two primary cap styles used in their single-point and multi-point battery watering systems:
The BD-00525 gasket is the correct replacement for both cap types in the post-2006 design generation. If you are unsure which cap style you have, check the cap for a visible locking tab (Bayonet) or continuous threads (M30).
The BD-00525 gasket is used in Flow-Rite single-point watering systems including the Pro-Fill and EZ Water series kits sold for RV, golf cart (Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha), marine, and industrial battery banks. It is compatible with any Bayonet or M30 cap assembly produced by Flow-Rite from 2006 to present. Pre-2006 caps used a different gasket profile -- verify your cap production date or contact Flow-Rite if you are unsure.
This gasket is not designed for Flow-Rite caps manufactured before 2006. Older cap generations used a different gasket geometry. Using BD-00525 in a pre-2006 cap may result in an improper fit and an ineffective seal. If your system predates 2006, identify your cap model number and verify the correct gasket part number before ordering.
