A direct-replacement idler hub assembly for 3,500-lb trailer axles running a 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern and 1/2" wheel studs. Bearings are installed and pre-greased at the factory, so you spend less time at the workbench and more time on the road. One kit services one wheel end.
When your trailer idler hub shows wear, scoring, or heat discoloration -- or when you are doing a scheduled bearing service and find a hub that cannot be cleaned up -- the Lippert 2024013263 kit gets you back to full-rated capacity without machining, pressing, or parts hunting. Everything needed for one complete idler wheel end is in the box.
This kit is designed specifically for non-brake (idler) positions on Lippert 3,500-lb straight-tube and EZ-Flex axles that use the common 5 on 4.5" bolt circle and 1/2"-20 lug studs. It is not a brake hub and does not include a dust shield or backing plate for drum brakes.
Inner and outer tapered roller bearings are pressed and pre-greased at the factory -- no bearing press or messy packing required on-site.
Five 1/2"-20 studs on a 4.5" bolt circle. Matches the most common 15" and 14" trailer wheel used on 3,500-lb single-axle and tandem rigs.
Hub is matched to 3,500-lb axle capacity -- the most widely used rating on travel trailers, toy haulers, and utility trailers up to roughly 7,000 lb GVWR tandem.
Includes hub body, installed inner and outer bearings, grease seal, spindle nut, tab washer, and cotter pin for one idler wheel end.
Note: This kit services one wheel end only. Order two kits for a complete axle.
Fits Lippert-built 3,500-lb idler axles with the following confirmed characteristics:
Common trailer applications: single-axle and tandem travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, horse trailers, and utility trailers built on Lippert-supplied axle assemblies. Also referenced as Lippert vendor part 08-7940 and cross-reference K-122461.
This hub is designed for the idler (non-braked) wheel end. Do not install in a braked axle position. Braked axle positions require a hub with the appropriate flange or drum machined for the brake shoes and are sold separately.
