MB Sturgis 350 PSI Rated CSA/CGA 8.3 Certified MB Sturgis 100476-72-MBS Quick Connect 72" LP Gas Hose Assembly

Ditch the 1 lb throwaway propane cylinder and run your portable appliance off your RV's onboard LP system instead. This 6-foot thermoplastic hose bridges a female quick-disconnect port on your RV piping to any small propane appliance with a CGA 600 connection -- giving you unlimited run time without swapping bottles.

Certified LP Hose That Replaces the 1 lb Bottle

The MB Sturgis Part No. 06-1400 (vendor) / 100476-72-MBS quick connect hose is purpose-built for RV owners who want to power portable propane appliances -- camp stoves, lanterns, portable heaters, griddles -- directly from their coach's LP system. One end terminates in a 1/4" Model 250 Male Quick Disconnect Plug that mates with any standard female quick-disconnect port on the RV piping side. The other end uses a CGA #600 connection, the same fitting found on 1 lb disposable propane cylinders, so it threads directly onto compatible appliances with no adapter needed.

At 72 inches (6 feet) of flexible thermoplastic hose, there is enough reach to use your appliance comfortably outside the coach while staying tethered to the RV's LP supply. The hose is rated to 350 PSI -- well above working pressures in a regulated RV LP system -- and carries full CSA/CGA 8.3 certification, meaning it has been independently tested to North American propane hose standards.

CGA 600 Appliance End

Threads onto any appliance designed for a 1 lb propane bottle -- no adapter or regulator required on the appliance side.

1/4" Male Quick Disconnect

Model 250 plug mates with standard female quick-disconnect ports found on most RV LP distribution systems.

350 PSI Pressure Rating

Heavy safety margin over typical RV LP system regulated pressures, providing dependable long-term service.

Wide Temperature Range

Rated from -40 F to 140 F (-40 C to 60 C), suitable for year-round use including cold-weather camping.

How It Works in an RV Setup

Most RVs equipped with a quick-disconnect port have a female quick-disconnect fitting plumbed into the exterior LP supply -- often near the kitchen area, at a dedicated outdoor cooking port, or on the LP manifold. When you plug in this hose, LP gas flows from your main tank through the RV regulator and into the hose at the correct appliance pressure. You do not need an additional regulator between this hose and your appliance, because the appliance's built-in orifice is already sized for the 11 inches water column pressure that comes out of an RV LP system regulator.

When not in use, simply unplug the quick-disconnect -- it seals automatically on the female port side, stopping gas flow. The CGA 600 end can be capped or left uncapped; no gas passes through unless the quick-disconnect is engaged.

Eliminates Bottle Waste: Connecting your portable camp stove or griddle to the RV's bulk LP tank through this hose means you stop buying and discarding 1 lb cylinders. A standard 20 lb tank holds the equivalent of roughly 280 of those small bottles.

Compatible Appliances

Any portable LP appliance designed to accept a 1 lb propane cylinder via a CGA 600 threaded connection is compatible with this hose, including:

  • Single and double-burner camp stoves (Coleman, Camp Chef, and similar)
  • Portable propane griddles and grills
  • Propane lanterns with CGA 600 fittings
  • Portable radiant and catalytic heaters sized for 1 lb cylinders
  • Small propane torches and soldering tools

This hose is not intended for appliances that require a high-pressure supply upstream of a dedicated regulator (such as a full-size propane forge or a burner sized for a 5 lb or larger cylinder with its own regulator). For those applications, a different high-pressure LP hose with regulator assembly is required.

Quick-Disconnect Compatibility Note: The 1/4" Model 250 male plug on this hose is the industry-standard size for RV LP quick-connect ports. Most RV manufacturers use this same standard. If your coach has an older proprietary fitting, verify the female port accepts a 1/4" Model 250 plug before ordering.

Installation and Use Tips

  • Before connecting, verify your RV's LP quick-disconnect female port is clean and free of debris.
  • Apply a soap-and-water solution to all connections after hooking up to check for leaks -- do not use an open flame for leak detection.
  • Route the hose away from high-heat surfaces, sharp edges, and pinch points. Do not run under a slide-out or through a door.
  • Always turn off the appliance before disconnecting the hose at the quick-disconnect port.
  • Store coiled loosely; avoid tight bends that can kink or stress the thermoplastic hose body.
Maintenance Tip: Inspect the hose body, both fittings, and the quick-disconnect plug for cracks, abrasion, or corrosion before each season. Replace the hose if any damage is visible. Thermoplastic hose has a finite service life; MB Sturgis backs this assembly with a limited 1-year manufacturer warranty.
LP Gas Use Only: This hose assembly is designed and certified for liquid petroleum (LP) gas service only. Do not use with natural gas, compressed air, oxygen, or any other medium.
