The float valve inside the tank operates like a toilet fill valve: as water level drops, the float descends and opens the inlet, allowing supply water to flow in. When the level reaches the set point, the float rises and closes the valve. This cycle is fully mechanical -- no electricity, no sensors, no programming. Connect a standard 1/4-inch or 3/8-inch supply line (check your specific inlet fitting) to a pressurized source and the tank manages itself.
The included steel mounting bracket is designed to accept the tank securely on a shelf surface or bolt flush to a vertical wall. Mount the tank above the equipment it feeds -- height above the outlet determines your available head pressure. For battery watering systems, positioning the bottom of the tank 12 to 24 inches above the battery tops provides adequate flow through Flow-Rite watering caps. Use the tank outlet fitting to connect to your distribution tubing. All connections should be checked for drips before leaving the installation unattended.
