Every time you step in or out of your RV, an unsupported bottom step flexes, bounces, and gradually wears out. The Lippert Solid Stance Stabilizer (part 2020109777) puts firm ground contact under your entry steps in about 15 minutes -- one permanent installation that works every time you use the door.
Lippert designed the Solid Stance specifically for their own double and triple entry step assemblies -- both steel radius and Alumi-Tread Hybrid Aluminum versions. The stabilizer uses two independently adjustable legs that contact the ground and take the load off the bottom step, eliminating the flex and bounce that accelerates wear on both the step hardware and the mounting structure.
Because ground level is rarely perfectly flat at a campsite, the Solid Stance includes four adjustment angles so the support can be tilted to meet uneven terrain. Height adjustment uses a tool-free quick-release spring-loaded pull pin, so you can dial in the exact height from 5 to 14 inches without tools.
Two legs adjust separately, letting each side contact uneven ground independently for solid four-point-style support.
Quick-release pull pin adjusts leg height across a wide range to handle varying step heights and ground conditions.
Legs pivot to four positions so the feet can make solid contact even when parked on a sloped or uneven surface.
Mount once and leave it. No need to remove or stow the stabilizer -- it stays in place and folds with your steps.
RV entry steps -- especially double and triple configurations -- flex at the bottom tread because they are cantilevered from the rig with no ground contact. Over time, repeated flex from entering and exiting cracks welds, loosens hardware, and causes the step to sag visibly. The Solid Stance transfers that load directly to the ground, so your steps stay rigid, quiet, and correctly aligned for the life of the rig.
Full-timers and frequent campers who enter and exit their RV dozens of times per day see the biggest benefit, but even weekend warriors notice the difference immediately -- the step simply feels solid underfoot instead of giving slightly with each step.
The Solid Stance is engineered to work with specific step configurations. Review the list below carefully before ordering:
The Solid Stance is built from heavy-gauge steel throughout, keeping weight reasonable at 5 lbs. while providing the rigidity needed to support the dynamic load of adults stepping on and off a cantilevered step. All mounting hardware required for installation on compatible LCI steps is included. Non-LCI triple step hardware and instructions are also included in the box.
