I have been using this grill for about 5 years now almost every other weekend throughout the summer. Prior to that I almost never cooked over the fire, always pulling out a small portable propane grill. This thing is so easy and fast to setup I don't even bring that small grill with me anymore. The driving stack is solid steel round bar that will never bend and big enough to stay in position even with the grill loaded with food. The key to the grill in the handle that has a hole in the center which locks into position just by the weight of the grill. Simple put weight on the opposite side and it can be moved easily up and down the driving stake depending on the fire and how much heat is desired. You will not be tossing this out after a couple of season of use, it is really built to last. I love products like this, it is innovative, built well, and solves a problem and not create one
