OEM direct replacement for the DV1 directional valve on EQ Systems MTE hydraulic pump assemblies. Restores proper retraction hold and prevents jack drift from the stowed position.
The EQ Systems 1717 is the OEM direct replacement for the DV1 directional valve on EQ Systems MTE hydraulic pump manifolds. Designated DV1 on the pump manifold, this valve serves as the retraction hold valve — it maintains hydraulic pressure on the retract side of the system to keep jacks and slide-outs locked in their stowed position while traveling.
A failed or worn DV1 valve is one of the most common causes of jacks or slides drifting down from the stowed position, particularly in uni-rotational pump systems. The 1717 replaces the existing valve directly with no manifold modifications required.
On EQ Systems MTE pump manifolds, the DV1 is the retraction hold valve. It maintains pressure on the retract side of the hydraulic circuit, keeping jacks locked in the fully retracted (stowed) position during travel. Common symptoms of a failed DV1 valve: • Jack legs slowly drift down from stowed position • "Jacks Down" warning lights illuminate while driving • System fails to hold retract-side pressure • Jacks or slides will not retract fully or hold position The DV1 valve also plays a role in manual override operation — during retraction using the hand pump, DV1 must be manually shifted to allow hydraulic flow to retract the jacks.
The 1717 is a direct replacement for the DV1 valve on EQ Systems MTE pump assemblies. Valve specifications and configurations vary between pump types — this valve is not a universal fit for all EQ Systems pumps. Locate the model number tag on your pump motor or manifold to confirm you have an MTE pump before ordering. If unsure, contact EQ Systems technical support with your pump model number.
Have your pump model number ready when contacting EQ Systems support. The model number tag is located on the pump motor or manifold.
