The EQ Systems 2368 is the OEM replacement hydraulic cylinder for Forest River Diesel slide-out room assemblies requiring a 32" stroke. The slide cylinder is the primary actuator that extends and retracts the slide room — when the cylinder seals fail, it can cause the room to move slowly, drift inward while parked, fail to fully extend or retract, or lose holding force under load.
The 2368 was used exclusively on Forest River Diesel applications. Unlike the majority of the 1-3/8" bore slide cylinder series, this cylinder features an extended rod configuration, which accounts for its 37-7/8" body length relative to its 32" stroke. Early versions of this cylinder used a 1-1/2" bore — the current 2368 uses a 1-3/8" bore and is the correct replacement for both bore sizes.
The 2368 was used exclusively on Forest River Diesel slide-out room assemblies. It is not a general-purpose slide cylinder. If your coach is not a Forest River Diesel model, verify your cylinder specifications against the Slide Cylinder Identification Chart available through EQ Systems service and support documentation before ordering.
Early versions of this cylinder used a 1-1/2" bore. The current 2368 uses a 1-3/8" bore and is a direct replacement for both the original 1-1/2" and any earlier 1-3/8" bore versions — no modifications required. This cylinder also features an extended rod design, which is why the 37-7/8" body length is proportionally longer than other cylinders of similar stroke in the series. This is the correct configuration for Forest River Diesel slide installations.
