JR ProductsUL/CSA ApprovedOEM ReplacementJR Products 07-30645 -- 30" POL Propane Pigtail Hose

A direct OEM-style replacement propane pigtail hose for RV liquid propane systems. This 30-inch rubber hose connects your propane regulator or appliance fitting to the LP tank valve using a standard POL connection on one end and a 1/4" male inverted flare on the other -- the same configuration found on millions of production RVs.

The Reliable LP Connection Your Rig Depends On

When your propane pigtail hose cracks, stiffens, or leaks, the fix is straightforward -- but only if you use an approved replacement. The JR Products 07-30645 meets UL and CSA standards for LP gas service, so it is not just a generic hose. It is a certified, purpose-built propane connector engineered to the same specs as the original equipment installed at the factory.

The 30-inch length gives you enough flexibility to route between a standard ASME or DOT cylinder valve and your two-stage or single-stage regulator without pulling or kinking. The rubber construction resists UV exposure and weathering better than cheap vinyl alternatives, and the pre-attached fittings mean no field flaring or assembly required.

POL Tank Connection

Left-hand-thread POL fitting threads directly into standard LP tank valves found on most RV DOT cylinders and ASME tanks.

1/4" Male Inverted Flare

Regulator-side fitting uses a 1/4" male inverted flare (SAE) -- the standard connection for most RV propane regulators and manifold inlets.

UL and CSA Listed

Certified to Underwriters Laboratories and Canadian Standards Association requirements for LP gas hose assemblies -- not just the hose, but the complete assembly.

30" Flexible Length

Thirty inches of flexible rubber hose provides enough reach to prevent regulator strain while accommodating typical RV tank-to-regulator spacing.

Where This Hose Is Used

This pigtail connects the LP supply cylinder to the inlet side of your RV propane regulator. In dual-cylinder RV setups, you typically run two pigtails -- one from each tank -- into an auto-changeover or manual changeover valve. A single pigtail is also used in single-tank configurations feeding directly into the regulator inlet.

  • Twin-cylinder A-frame or crossbar regulator setups on travel trailers and fifth wheels
  • Single-tank configurations on smaller trailers and truck campers
  • Replacement for deteriorated, cracked, or stiff OEM pigtail hoses
  • Service and repair by RV technicians needing a UL/CSA-certified replacement assembly
OEM-Quality Certification: The UL/CSA listing on this assembly means it meets the same certification standards required for original equipment installation -- important if you are servicing a rig that needs to pass inspection or insurance review.

Installation Notes

The POL fitting is left-hand thread -- turn counterclockwise to tighten onto the tank valve. Do not use thread tape on POL connections; the fitting relies on a metal-to-metal or integral seal design. The 1/4" inverted flare end on the regulator side uses right-hand thread and should be tightened firmly with a wrench -- do not hand-tighten only.

After connection, check all joints with a propane-safe leak detector solution or electronic leak detector before lighting any appliances. Replace any hose showing cracks, brittleness, abrasion damage, or that is more than five years old.

Inspection Reminder: Propane pigtail hoses should be visually inspected at the start of every camping season. Rubber degrades over time even without visible damage. JR Products provides a limited 90-day warranty on this assembly.
POL vs. ACME/QCC1: This hose uses a POL (Prest-O-Lite) fitting, which is the older industry-standard connection found on most RV tank valves. If your regulator uses a different inlet connection, you will need an adapter or a different hose. POL is still the dominant connection type on RV propane systems as of current production.
Maintenance Tip: Store your RV with the propane tank valve closed. This reduces pressure on the pigtail hose and fittings during long-term storage, extending hose service life.

Important Information
  • This hose uses a POL fitting -- confirm your tank valve accepts a POL connection before ordering. POL is NOT compatible with ACME/QCC1 quick-connect valves without an adapter.
  • Always leak-test all connections after installation using a propane-safe detector solution. Never use an open flame to check for leaks.
  • Do not over-tighten the inverted flare fitting -- firm wrench-tight is correct. Over-torquing can damage the flare seat and cause leaks.
  • Replace immediately if hose shows cracking, brittleness, soft spots, abrasion through the outer jacket, or any sign of gas odor near the hose.
  • JR Products provides a limited 90-day warranty on this assembly. Damage from improper installation or use with non-LP fuels is not covered.
  • For use with LP (propane) gas only. Not rated for natural gas, butane, or compressed air service.
