The 8450AM is designed specifically for motorhomes built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Cutaway chassis. It is not compatible with Sprinter Van-based Class B motorhomes (van conversions). If you are unsure which chassis type your vehicle has, contact EQ Systems before ordering.
The EQ Systems STABI-LITE® is an electric stabilizing system — not a leveling system. Where hydraulic leveling systems raise and level your coach from an unlevel position, the STABI-LITE® is designed to stabilize a coach that is already parked and roughly level. It eliminates the two most common annoyances of Sprinter-based motorhome ownership: the lean that occurs when a slide room is extended, and the constant sway and bounce when occupants move around inside the coach.
The 8450AM Sprinter-specific version uses a clamp-style mounting system that attaches directly to the Sprinter Cutaway frame without any welding, drilling, or permanent frame modification. The entire system weighs less than 80 pounds, and the chassis-specific design means installation time is significantly reduced compared to universal systems. One touch of the switch pad extends both stabilizers simultaneously — no guesswork, no manual cranking. A 40-amp circuit breaker and color-coded harnesses are included for a clean, safe electrical installation.

STABI-LITE® (This Unit) — Stabilizer System Designed to eliminate sway and lean on a coach that is already parked. Two electric stabilizer jacks press firmly against the ground to brace the chassis. Does not raise or level the vehicle — coach must already be at an acceptable level before deploying stabilizers. EQ Smart-Level Hydraulic Systems — Leveling Systems Designed to fully raise and level an unlevel coach after parking. Four hydraulic jacks lift and reposition the vehicle to achieve a precise level. Heavier, more complex, and more expensive — but handle grade changes that stabilizers cannot. Many Sprinter-based motorhome owners use both: a hydraulic leveling system (such as the 8757UPS or 8757UPSA) to level the coach on arrival, and the STABI-LITE® to stabilize it once level. The STABI-LITE® can also be used standalone if you typically park on relatively level surfaces and primarily need slide and movement stability.
Installation can be performed by most RV service centers or a qualified installer familiar with 12V electrical systems. No welding or drilling is required for the Sprinter Cutaway chassis mount. 1. Verify Fitment: Confirm chassis compatibility with EQ Systems before beginning ([email protected] / 800-846-9659) 2. Position Stabilizers: Use manual override coupler (5/8" wrench or socket) to partially extend legs for easier positioning against the chassis — turning counterclockwise extends 3. Clamp to Chassis: Attach clamping mounts for each stabilizer assembly to the Sprinter frame at the designated positions per EQ fitment drawings; torque clamp hardware to 30–35 ft-lbs 4. Mount Switch Panel: Attach switch panel using included bracket (P/N 2849); note the switch panel harness is 16' — position accordingly 5. Route & Connect Harnesses: Connect color-coded controller-to-motor harnesses (7' and 12'); secure all harnesses away from moving parts and heat with cable ties or clamps 6. Connect Power: Connect 40-amp circuit breaker at the battery power connection; if desired, wire pink wire to an ignition-ON source for automatic retract when ignition is engaged 7. Adjust Plant Pressure: If coach is equipped with slide-outs, adjust motor outputs to allow greater stabilization on the loaded side with slides extended 8. Test Operation: Test one-touch extension, retraction, and auto-retract (if wired); visually verify both stabilizers are fully retracted before moving the vehicle

Do not move the vehicle with stabilizers extended. Always visually verify both stabilizers are fully retracted before driving — especially when using the automatic retract feature, which should be confirmed visually even after the system signals retraction. Do not go under the vehicle when stabilizers are extended. Do not allow excessive coach movement while stabilizers are operating.
EQ Systems offers two STABI-LITE® electric stabilizer systems — one for Sprinter Cutaway chassis and one for Ford E-350/E-450 and Chevrolet C5500 chassis. Both are stabilizers, not leveling systems. Make sure you select the correct version for your chassis.
