The EQ Systems 7779 is a replacement rotary switch kit for the EL Pac 1 and EL Pac 2 electric jack add-on systems. The EL Pac is an electric motor unit that adds powered operation to manually-operated Bulldog, Fulton, or Ram (EL Pac 1) or Binkley (EL Pac 2) tongue jacks, and the rotary switch is the user-facing control that operates the jack.
The 7779 replaces the switch mechanism only — it does not include the switchgear box or the wiring harness. This makes it the right choice when the rotary switch itself has failed (broken, worn, or non-functional) but the box and harness are intact and in good condition. If the box or harness also needs replacement, order part #7817 instead, which is the complete switchgear assembly including box, harness, and switch.
The 7779 kit is compatible with both old and new style EL Pac switches, covering the full range of EL Pac installations regardless of age. Installation instructions for the 7779 rotary switch replacement are available from EQ Systems.
The EL Pac comes in two variants. Both use the same 7779 replacement switch kit. EL Pac 1: Compatible with Bulldog single-speed and two-speed jacks, Fulton single-speed jacks, and Ram single-speed jacks. EL Pac 2: Compatible with Binkley two-speed jacks. If you are unsure which EL Pac variant you have, the model designation is typically indicated on the EL Pac unit itself. Contact EQ Systems if you need help identifying your system.
The 7779 contains the rotary switch mechanism only. The switchgear box and wiring harness are not included. If your box or harness is also damaged or failed, order part #7817 (complete switchgear assembly — box, harness, and switch) rather than the 7779. Ordering the switch kit only makes sense when the existing box and harness are confirmed to be in good working condition.
