Genuine OEM replacement harness that restores reliable communication between the In-Wall controller and slide-out motor. Engineered specifically for the Schwintek rack-and-pinion drive system found on hundreds of RV models from the industry's leading builders.
The Lippert In-Wall slide-out system -- commonly called the Schwintek system -- relies on a dedicated 6-pin wiring harness to pass power and control signals between the wall-mounted controller and the dual-motor drive assembly. When that harness is damaged, corroded, or simply too short for a larger floorplan, the entire room stops moving.
Part number 238991 is the factory-length 25 ft harness. It uses a male connector at the controller end and a female connector at the motor end, matching the OEM plug pattern so no splicing or adapter is required in most installations. The wiring runs inside a protected casing to resist chafing, moisture, and UV exposure as it routes through the RV wall cavity.
Male-to-female plug matches the factory Schwintek controller and motor terminals -- no adapters needed in most rigs.
Sized for larger slide rooms and longer wall-cavity runs. Also available in 10, 15, and 30 ft lengths for other floorplan needs.
Jacketed harness construction resists abrasion and moisture during routing through wall cavities and slide-out frames.

Lippert's In-Wall slide-out system uses a pair of small, synchronised motors that ride on vertical rack-and-pinion rails hidden inside the slide wall. Unlike older cable-and-hydraulic systems, the In-Wall drive is fully electric and controlled by a dedicated wall switch or touch panel. The 6-pin harness carries both the 12V drive power and the synchronisation signal that keeps the two motors moving in unison -- which is why harness integrity is critical to smooth, even room travel.
Because the Schwintek controller and motor use keyed 6-pin connectors, this harness plugs straight in. There is no wiring to strip, no pins to crimp, and no terminal adapter to source separately. Verify your existing harness length before ordering -- measure the actual routed path, not the straight-line distance.
The 25 ft (238991) harness covers most mid-size to large slide rooms. If your existing harness is shorter than 25 ft and is undamaged, you likely need a different length. Lippert also offers this harness in 10 ft, 15 ft, and 30 ft variants -- check the length stamped on your current harness jacket or measure the routed run with a pull tape before ordering.
Inspect the harness jacket and both connectors annually, particularly at any point where the harness crosses a framing member or enters the slide rail housing. Early detection of abrasion or corrosion prevents a full room lockout on the road.
If the harness checks out but the slide still malfunctions, the issue may be with the In-Wall controller, the motor assembly itself, or the rack and pinion gear. Lippert offers replacement controllers, motor kits, and rail hardware for the full Schwintek system -- search by your RV model or the controller label part number for compatible components.
