The Suburban Mfg 523018 is a 12-foot (144-inch) high-pressure LP gas hose designed for use on the high-pressure side of an RV propane system -- that is, between the propane tank and the first-stage or two-stage regulator, or between supply components before pressure is stepped down for appliance use.
With a 1" male thread on one end and a 1" female thread on the other, this hose connects directly to standard POL-to-1" or ACME-to-1" fittings commonly found on RV propane manifolds, tanks, and regulators. At 12 feet, it provides enough reach to accommodate under-chassis routing, extended tank compartments, or dual-tank setups without putting stress on the fittings.

This is a high-pressure LP gas hose -- not a low-pressure appliance connector. It is intended for use upstream of the regulator, where propane is still at or near full tank pressure (typically 100-200 PSI at the tank, varying with temperature and fill level). Common installation points include:
Do not use this hose on the low-pressure (appliance) side of the system. Low-pressure appliance hoses are a separate product category with different fittings and pressure ratings.
This hose is rated for the high-pressure propane supply side. Install it between the tank outlet and the inlet of your regulator. Always check connections with an approved leak-detection solution after installation and before use.
The 523018 uses 1-inch NPT-style threads on both ends (male on one end, female on the other), which are common on RV propane system supply components. Verify your tank fitting and regulator inlet thread size before ordering. If your system uses POL, ACME (Type 1), or QCC1 fittings at the tank, you will need the appropriate adapter -- those are not included with this hose.
This hose ships as a standalone assembly. Thread adapters, POL fittings, ACME fittings, and regulators are sold separately. Verify both your tank outlet fitting and your regulator inlet fitting are compatible 1" threads before installation.
LP gas hoses should be visually inspected before each season and replaced at the first sign of cracking, stiffness, bubbling, or any odor at rest. Most manufacturers recommend replacing propane hoses every 5-10 years regardless of appearance.
