Protective cover for electric tongue jack heads during storage and travel. 3-layer breathable spunbond polypropylene blocks UV, moisture, dirt, and debris. Fits most brands and styles of electric tongue jacks.
The Camco 48356 is a protective cover for electric tongue jack heads — designed to slip over the jack housing when the trailer is in storage or not in use. Electric tongue jacks expose their motor housing, switch panel, and gear assembly to the elements whenever they're left uncovered outdoors, which leads to UV degradation of plastic components, moisture infiltration into the motor and gearbox, and debris accumulation around the drive mechanism over time.
The 48356 is constructed from three layers of breathable spunbond polypropylene — the same material used in furniture and appliance covers — which blocks UV radiation, repels moisture, and keeps dirt and debris out while still allowing air circulation to prevent condensation buildup inside the cover. At 18"H x 7.5"W x 8.5"D, it fits most brands and styles of electric tongue jacks. Sold as a cover only — no jack included.
• 1x Camco 48356 Electric Tongue Jack Head Cover Electric tongue jacks (sold separately): • Camco/Eaz-Lift 49000 — Electric power tongue jack, 4,000 lb., with LED lights • Various Lippert, Bulldog, and aftermarket electric tongue jacks also compatible
Electric tongue jacks are vulnerable to several outdoor exposure issues: • UV degradation — plastic housing and switch panels become brittle and crack over seasons of sun exposure • Moisture infiltration — water entry into the motor housing and gearbox causes corrosion and premature motor failure • Debris accumulation — road grime, pollen, and dirt work into the drive mechanism and switch contacts A cover during storage and long-term parking significantly extends the service life of the jack.
