The LVSG-516 was originally developed to operate the landing gear winch on 5th wheel campers, and has also been found to fit the winch system that raises the roof on 2006 Coleman/Fleetwood fold-down campers. The LVSG-516 is machined specifically for the winch geometry of 5th wheel landing gear systems, with the added discovery that it also fits the 2006 Coleman/Fleetwood fold-down roof winch. The socket end is machined to fit a 1/2" drill chuck, and three flats on the shank eliminate any chance of the bit spinning in the chuck — a critical safety feature given the torque involved. Total socket length is 5-1/4", with 1" of that fitting into the drill chuck and the remainder extending into the winch access hole.

The three-flat shank design means this socket will not slip in the drill chuck when properly tightened. This is intentional — but it also means that if the winch or camper roof suddenly stops moving, the drill torque has nowhere to go except the operator's arm or hand. Use caution at all times during operation. When the jack reaches the home position or the roof reaches its travel limit, be prepared for the sudden stop. Keep a firm but controlled grip on the drill — do not brace against fixed objects in a way that would transfer sudden torque to your joints. This warning applies to all Socket Jenie products and is emphasized by the manufacturer.
