The EQ Systems 7824 is the OEM replacement reservoir plug and grommet for EQ Systems MTE hydraulic pump assemblies. The reservoir plug seals the drain port at the bottom of the hydraulic fluid reservoir — and when the plug cracks, strips, or the grommet deteriorates, it can cause hydraulic fluid to leak from the reservoir, leading to low fluid levels, reduced system pressure, and eventually a pump that won't operate correctly.
Unlike the larger reservoir kit parts that replace the entire tank assembly, the 7824 addresses the plug and grommet specifically — making it the right choice when the reservoir body itself is intact but the drain port seal has failed. Compatible with any EQ Systems MTE pump model.
Replace both the plug and grommet together when servicing — a new plug on a worn grommet (or vice versa) may not seat properly and can continue to leak. The grommet is the most common failure point due to heat and fluid exposure over time.
The 7824 is designed for use with EQ Systems MTE pump assemblies only. It is not compatible with S-series or other non-MTE EQ Systems pump reservoirs. If you are unsure whether your pump is an MTE model, check the model number label on the pump housing or contact EQ Systems technical support before ordering.
After replacing the reservoir plug and grommet, check the hydraulic fluid level before operating the system. Always check and fill the reservoir with all jacks and slides fully retracted. Refill as needed with Dexron ATF fluid. A fill level indicator line on the reservoir shows the correct level.
