The EQ Systems 7055 is a smart start solenoid replacement for use with EQ Systems hydraulic leveling pump motors on both motorhome and trailer applications. The motor solenoid is the electrical switching component that controls power delivery to the hydraulic pump motor — when the solenoid fails, the pump motor will not run, preventing leveling system operation entirely.
EQ Systems provides separate installation instruction sets for the 7055 depending on application: one for motorhomes and one for trailers. Both sets of instructions are available through EQ Systems Replacement Part Instructions documentation. Review the appropriate instructions before beginning installation to understand the wiring modifications required.
The 7055 is not a direct replacement for the original solenoid on your leveling system. Installation requires wiring modifications — the 7055 will not function correctly if simply swapped in without following the included wiring instructions. Wiring instructions are included with every order. Do not install the 7055 without reading and following these instructions completely. If your existing motor solenoid has two plug-in connectors (a 2-pin and a 4-pin connector), you will also need to order part #7814 (Single Switch White Plug) in addition to the 7055 solenoid. Check your current solenoid connector configuration before ordering to determine whether both parts are needed.
