The EQ Systems 1549 is the OEM replacement hydraulic cylinder for slide-out room assemblies requiring a 42" stroke. The slide cylinder is the primary actuator that extends and retracts the slide room — when the cylinder seals fail, it can cause the room to move slowly, drift inward while parked, fail to fully extend or retract, or lose holding force under load.
The 1549 uses a current 1-3/8" bore, which is an updated dimension from the original 1-1/8" bore cylinder it replaces. The larger bore provides improved hydraulic force capacity. At 42" of stroke and a body length of 48-1/16", this is the longest standard slide cylinder in the EQ Systems 1-3/8" bore lineup — used on larger slide rooms with extended travel requirements. Measure the stroke of your existing cylinder carefully before ordering.
The 1549 is for slide-out rooms requiring a 42" stroke. EQ Systems slide cylinders are available in multiple stroke lengths — ordering the wrong stroke will result in a cylinder that does not match your slide room travel. The 1549 has a current bore of 1-3/8", replacing the original 1-1/8" bore cylinder used on earlier installations.
