The EQ Systems 7817 is the OEM replacement switchgear box and wiring harness for the EL Pac 1 and EL Pac 2 electric jack add-on systems. The EL Pac series converts manually-operated electric trailer jacks into powered leveling systems — the 7817 switchgear assembly is the rotary control interface through which the operator extends and retracts the jacks, and includes the wiring harness that connects the switch box to the jack and power source.
The 7817 is a complete assembly including both the switchgear box and the harness — it is the correct replacement when both the switch housing and wiring need to be replaced together. If only the rotary switch itself has failed and the box and harness are intact, the switch-only replacement (part #7779) may be the appropriate choice instead.
The EQ Systems EL Pac series adds powered electric jack operation to existing manual trailer jacks without replacing the full jack assembly. The EL Pac 1 is designed for Bulldog single and two speed jacks, as well as Fulton single speed and Ram single speed jack legs. The EL Pac 2 is designed for Binkley two speed jacks. The 7817 switchgear assembly is compatible with both EL Pac variants — confirm your EL Pac model when contacting EQ Systems support for installation guidance.
The 7817 includes the full switchgear box and wiring harness. If only the rotary switch knob or switch mechanism has failed but the box and harness remain in good condition, order part #7779 (EL Pac Replacement Switch — switch only, no box or harness) instead. Replacing only the switch when the harness is intact avoids unnecessary cost and installation complexity.
