The EQ Systems 1218 is the OEM replacement hydraulic cylinder for the EQ Systems TJ Tongue Pull Jack — the hydraulic tongue jack used on bumper pull and towable trailers. The TJ jack uses a tube-in-tube cylinder design to raise and lower the trailer tongue for hitching and unhitching, and to support the tongue weight when the trailer is parked.
When the TJ cylinder develops internal seal wear or external damage, symptoms include slow or weak extension, fluid leaking from the cylinder body, the jack drifting down under load, or the cylinder failing to hold tongue weight when extended. The 1218 is the sole replacement cylinder for the TJ series — there are no stroke or bore variants to select from.
The 1218 is the replacement cylinder for the TJ Tongue Pull Jack only.
