The EQ Systems 7849 is the OEM replacement foot pad and mounting bolt for SL series straight leg jack assemblies that do not include a plunger style leg switch. It is the most widely compatible foot pad in the EQ Systems lineup, fitting six SL series jack models as well as Bumper Pull Tongue Jacks.
The foot pad is the ground contact surface at the base of each hydraulic jack leg — it distributes the coach's weight across a larger surface area to prevent sinking into soft ground and to provide a stable, level base during leveling. The pad is designed to pivot slightly on the rod end to self-adjust on uneven or sloped terrain. The kit includes both the foot pad and the required mounting bolt for complete installation.
The 7849 does not include a leg switch plate and is not compatible with jack legs that have plunger style leg switches. If your jack leg has a plunger switch at the bottom of the cylinder, order part #7819 (10" × 10" Foot Pad with Plate for Leg Switch and Bolt) instead. Using the 7849 on a leg switch jack can obstruct the switch plunger and cause incorrect jack position readings or Auto-Level faults.
The 7849 kit includes the 10" × 10" foot pad and mounting bolt. The foot pad threads onto the rod end of the jack leg cylinder using a 3/4" flat head Allen bolt. When properly installed, the foot should pivot freely — this is intentional and allows the pad to self-level on uneven terrain. The foot is not designed to be tight against the rod end.
