The Camco 11633 RV Water Heater Drain Plug Kit is specifically designed for use with RV water heater drain plugs. The angled design conveniently fits in tight spaces and includes prongs for rusted drain valves.

Note: Drain plugs should be replaced annually.
Camco RV Water Heater Drain Plug Kit
For use with nylon drain plug: - 1. Turn off water, electric and gas supply to water heater.
- 2. To prevent serious injury, allow water to cool and open T&P valve to relieve pressure.
- 3. Use wrench end that best fits installed drain plug to prevent damage.
- 4. Rotate wrench counterclockwise to loosen old plug.
- Note: Careful as old drain plugs may break easily.
- 5. Drain water completely.
- 6. Apply 2 to 3 turns of the Teflon tape to new plug threads counterclockwise.
- 7. Install plug finger-tight, then snug using wrench.
For removal of petcock drain or anode rod with petcock drain: - 1. Turn off water, electric and gas supply to water heater.
- 2. To prevent serious injury, allow water to cool and open T&P valve to relieve pressure.
- 3. Fully loosen petcock valve and drain water completely. Use wrench prongs if needed.
- 4. Pass wrench head over petcock handle to place wrench around anode rod.
- 5. Rotate counterclockwise to loosen; remove anode rod completely.
- 6. Clean threads thoroughly removing any corrosion; replace anode rod if needed.
- 7. Apply 2 to 3 turns of the Teflon tape to new plug threads counterclockwise.
- 8. Install plug finger-tight, then snug using wrench.
Warning when draining water: Be careful not to damage any surrounding gas lines or electrical wiring.
