With Memorial Day less than 3 weeks away, the unofficial start
of summer is not too far off. With it comes a 3 day weekend for most of us, and the RV season gets thrown into high gear. With the warm weather, longer days, holiday weekends and vacation time, there is a lot to look forward to in the summer months ahead. There are plenty of RV and camping accessories available to help you enjoy the summer months. Whether you are new to RV-ing or simply wish to find new gear, here are some ideas to help you get started.
Summer offers a trio of patriotic holidays that allow you to show your spirit. If it's Memorial Day, Independence Day or Labor Day, you'll be able to display a flag even if you are away from home. There are a number of portable flagpole kits available for different size flagpoles, as well as flagpole mounts that can stake into the ground or sit under a tire. For example, the Flagpole to Go 20' flagpole has a telescoping design to save space, while having the ability to stand in the ground or be used with a separate tire or hitch mount. You'll easily be able to show an American flag or even show your affiliation to a specific branch of the military. Remember if you choose to have more than one flag on the same flag pole, the American flag should be at the top. Also, it's proper etiquette to only have an American flag up during daylight hours, unless you plan to have a light shining on it at night.
For a lot of people summertime can also mean picnic time. Picnic Time offers a number of different size baskets, coolers and wine totes to accommodate almost any need. Many, such as the Malibu Moka, have space for storing food as well as picnic supplies. They are also easily portable, so if you want a more scenic location in which to eat, you can take them with you from your main campsite. Summer also brings more opportunity to entertain outdoors, whether you are out camping or staying at home. Items such as the Kelty Folding Cooler or the Big Bobber Floating Cooler can provide you or your guests with cold beverages or chilled snacks. With its ability to float in water, the Big Bobber is great not only for a pool party, but for also boating excursions or even while fishing on a lake. The Kelty Folding Cooler is for perfect for travel, since it can collapse down when not in use. Portable grills, such as the Son of Hibachi, allow you to cook a meal wherever you are. The Son of Hibachi is a charcoal grill that can come with an optional Snuff Out Pouch for a quick and easy cleanup, allowing you to pack up the grill even if the coals are still hot.
These are just a few examples of items to consider. There are many more RV accessories available that can help you get the most out of your summer RV-ing season. If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to
