The highest-performing 12V sprayer pump on the market. Exclusive Flo-IQ technology eliminates rapid switch cycling. 7.0 GPM at 100 PSI. ¾" QA hose barb fittings included. Not for potable water. Made in the USA.
The Remco SmoothFlo Fatboy is where Remco's most powerful pump body meets its most advanced pressure control technology. The Fatboy Series is already the highest-performing 12V diaphragm pump for its size — delivering 7.0 GPM at 100 PSI. The SmoothFlo variant takes that raw performance and adds Remco's exclusive Flo-IQ dual pressure control system, which completely eliminates the rapid switch cycling that plagues conventional sprayer pumps.
Flo-IQ technology works by actively dampening the pressure switch cycle, allowing the pump to run more smoothly and consistently between nozzle openings. The result is noticeably quieter operation, less wear on the pressure switch, longer pump service life, and a more consistent spray pattern. For soft wash operators, chemical sprayers, and anyone running high-cycle spray applications, the SmoothFlo Fatboy is the professional-grade step up from the standard Fatboy.
Viton valves and a Santoprene diaphragm provide compatibility with the most demanding agricultural spray chemicals. Completely sealed IP-rated motor with 12 AWG wire leads handles the most extreme field environments.
⚠️ Important: This pump is not listed for potable water use and must never be used with gasoline or any petroleum products.
Dual pressure control technology completely eliminates rapid switch cycling — smoother flow, less noise, longer pump life
Maximum output SmoothFlo configuration — the highest-performing 12V sprayer pump available for demanding applications
Viton valves and Santoprene diaphragm compatible with herbicides, fertilizers, insecticides, bleach, and soft wash chemicals
Completely sealed motor with 12 AWG heavy-gauge leads — built for the most extreme outdoor environments
Standard diaphragm pumps use a single-pressure switch that turns the motor on and off abruptly as system pressure rises and falls. This creates rapid cycling — the pump hammering on and off many times per minute — which causes noise, vibration, accelerated switch wear, and an inconsistent spray pattern. Flo-IQ is Remco's dual pressure control system that sets two pressure thresholds instead of one. The pump turns off at a higher pressure and turns back on at a lower pressure, creating a wider pressure band that significantly reduces how often the switch fires. The result is a pump that runs in longer, smoother cycles — virtually eliminating the rapid cycling problem without requiring an accumulator tank. For soft wash operations, chemical spraying, and any high-cycle application, Flo-IQ delivers a noticeably better pumping experience.
The Remco 90-5918-9I1-94A-SB is not listed or approved for potable water use. Do not use this pump in any system where the fluid may be consumed by humans or animals. This pump must NEVER be used with gasoline, diesel, or any petroleum-based products. Use only with water-based agricultural chemicals, soft wash solutions, bleach, liquid fertilizers, and other compatible non-flammable fluids.
The SmoothFlo Fatboy excels wherever high-volume pumping meets high-cycle operation: Soft Wash & Chemical: • Soft washing and bleach application systems • High-cycle chemical spraying operations • Exterior surface washing and treatment Agricultural & Industrial: • Boom and spot sprayers (herbicides, fertilizers, insecticides) • Bulk fluid transfer requiring high flow • Water treatment and alternative energy fluid systems • Equipment washdown • Dust suppression at high flow rates
Flo-IQ setup — no bypass return line required, no accumulator needed. 1. Mount the Pump: Secure to your sprayer frame or mounting surface in any orientation, up to 14 feet above the fluid source. 2. Connect Plumbing: Use the included ¾" hose barb fittings (straight and elbow) to connect your hose to the pump's QA ports. Secure hose barbs with appropriate hose clamps. 3. Electrical Connection: Connect the 12 AWG leads directly to your 12V DC battery or relay. Use a relay for switched control — do not run the full load through a small toggle switch. Install an appropriately rated fuse on the supply line close to the battery. 4. Prime & Test: Fill the inlet line before starting to assist prime. Run briefly to purge air. The Flo-IQ system will cycle more smoothly than a standard pump. Check all connections for leaks. No accumulator tank is required or recommended with Flo-IQ control. The SmoothFlo Series uses the Fatboy pump body (5-chamber, 7.0 GPM max) or the 5500 Series body (5-chamber, 5.3 GPM) paired exclusively with Flo-IQ dual pressure control. The "9" in the model number indicates the SmoothFlo/Flo-IQ control designation, distinguishing it from standard Demand ("1") or Bypass ("2") Fatboy configurations. All models use Viton valves, Santoprene diaphragm, and ¾" Quick Attach ports.
