The Glendinning RLC Cablemaster (part number 04016-C-36) is designed for RV owners who want motorized cord handling without paying for a full retractable reel. The system stores your 36 ft, 50-amp SOW shore power cable in a dedicated container, then automatically rewinds it at the push of a button when you are done. You still pull the cable out manually -- the motor handles the tedious job of winding it back up neatly every time.
Unlike Glendinning's Pro Cablemaster series, the RLC does not use slip rings. This keeps the system simpler and more affordable, but it does mean the cable is not continuous -- the electrical path from shore power runs through the stored cable directly, and the reel is not rated for power delivery while wound. This is a storage and retraction system, not a live-reel system.

The RLC Cablemaster is Glendinning's no-slip-ring model. The cable does not carry live power while wound on the reel -- you fully deploy the cable before connecting shore power, then retract after disconnecting. This is the correct and safe operating method. If you need a live-reel system that delivers power through the reel itself, look at Glendinning's Pro Cablemaster series, which uses slip rings for continuous electrical contact.
