The Koni 8805-1007 FSD Rear Shock is the definitive rear suspension upgrade for the Chevrolet P30 and P32 forward-control motorhome chassis — one of the most widely used Class A and Class C motorhome platforms in RV history, spanning over 35 years of production from 1968 through the Workhorse continuation era ending in 2007. These chassis underpin countless Class A diesel and gasoline pushers, and an enormous number of Class C motorhomes that remain in active service today.
The P30/P32 chassis is well known for rear-end bounce, body sway, and the characteristic "tail wagging" instability that becomes progressively worse as OEM shocks wear out. KONI's FSD technology directly addresses these issues: it provides the firm rear damping needed to control body pitch and roll under the weight of a full motorhome body, while automatically softening over expansion joints and rough surfaces to preserve ride comfort. The result is dramatically improved stability, reduced driver fatigue, and a safer, more controlled coach.

Verify Chassis Designation: This shock covers Chevrolet P30/P32 and Workhorse P30/P32/P37. The P30 and P32 are different GVW ratings — verify your specific chassis code before ordering. Quad Shock Option: The SuperSteer Rear Quad Shock Kit (SS350) can be used with this shock to add an additional pair of rear shocks for even greater rear stability on the P30/P32 chassis. ⚠️ Before Installation — Critical Stroke Check: With the vehicle at proper ride height, measure the distance between the shock mounting points. Then collapse and extend the new shock fully and measure both extremes. The shock should be near the center of its stroke when installed, with at least 3" of stroke available in either direction. If this clearance is not met, do not install — the shock could break and the warranty will be voided.
