The SuperSteer SSE4055 Motion Control Unit is designed specifically to help air ride motorhomes with unruly air suspensions. It stabilizes your ride for comfort and safety and reduces side whip when going over driveways, uneven roads, bumps, and dips. The MCU installs in the airbag supply lines and contains a baffle that prevents rapid movement of air in and out of the airbags. This results in significantly improved compression, reduced sway, increased stability, and stronger rebound characteristics.
Each unit operates independently, both front and back and on each side of the coach. These units act like valving found in many shock absorbers. The SSE4055 is designed for motorhomes over 30,000 lbs GVWR with 1/4" air lines. Sold as a set of 2 units. Simple design built to last the life of your coach.
May affect function of Valid Trueline Electronic ride height leveling system. Compatible with plastic air lines only. Measure front and rear air lines separately, as they may be different sizes. 1 set of Motion Control Units will control 2 airbags.
Motorhome Chassis Applications: • Freightliner, Spartan, Tiffin Powerglide, Country Coach: 2 sets needed for front and rear (1 set for front 2 airbags, 1 set for rear 2 airbags) • Monaco Roadmaster, Magnum Air: 4 sets needed for front and rear (2 sets for front 4 airbags, 2 sets for rear 4 airbags) Baffling Range Recommendation: For most applications, use lighter MCUs (under 30,000 lbs) for the front and heavier MCUs (over 30,000 lbs) for the rear. This provides support without compromising front ride quality. If your RV is 40,000 lbs or larger, use the over 30,000 lb rated units for both front and rear.
